What a night for New Midwest
Wrestling! First Blood is now in the record books! If you missed it,
here are your official results!
The night started off with
"The Up & Comer" Eric Ruffington, accompanied by Eric Logan, taking on
"Danger" Doug Fraze, who himself was accompanied by Tank Roberts! Logan
made sure to get himself involved as much as possible in this match.
Tank tried his best to keep the match fair, but despite is best efforts,
Logan was able to assist Ruffington in getting the win, and keeping his
#5 spot!
Immediately after the match,
Tank Roberts grabbed the mike, and challenged Eric Logan to a match on
the spot! Logan accepted, and then began the match! Ruffington tried his
best to help Logan out unfairly, however Danger was able to keep him at
bay long enough for Tank to hit Logan with finisher for the win!
Next up was a 4-way scramble!
Donovan Cain, "Smooth Operator" Alex Monroe, The Eagle Scout, and his
little brother Blake Shelton all faced off in a high-risk, high-flying
match up! After all of the excitement, Donovan Cain was able to pull off
the win!
Juelz Vega faced off against
Church of RON member Bishop Stephens next on the card! Vega was a huge
fan favorite, and was even able to pull off the win on Stephens, despite
RON being at his side!
The Hybrids, A.C. Powers and
Jason "The Kid" Lyte", along with Elektra Fine took on Rian Cruz and
"Tricky" Dick Moore next! Jackie Sazerack was at ringside the whole
time, rooting against Tricky. The Hybrids were able to gain the pin fall
victory after Jackie and Tricky got into a huge brawl! The fight
continued for several minutes after the match ended, resulting in
security having to separate the two!
Billy Morgan was set to take
on "Mr. Hollywood" Stan Sallinger next up, but instead out came "The
Man" Matt Boston, who claimed he was to fill in for a busy Stan. Billy
gave Boston the beating he was hoping to give to Sallinger! But
suddenly, a disguised Stan jumped out of the crowd to interfering,
allowing Boston to pick up the victory!
Spencer Powers was now set to
take on his former valet, Cherry Malone. He tried to get her to just lay
down for him, but Spencer obviously underestimated Cherry! Cherry began
to give Spencer a taste of his own medicine when the Hybrids and Elektra
came to interfere! Cherry was able to chase the three off, but soon took
The Sine Down, and Spencer then picked up the win with the Ab-Stretch on
an unconscious Cherry!
LPC then took on "The Marvel"
Shane Matthews for the #1 contendership. The two were both fan
favorites, and battled back and forth before out of no-where Shard and
Xavier hit the ring. Shard looked like he was going to hit Shane with a
chair, but instead blasted LPC, which in turn cost Marvel his #1
Contendership! Xavier and Shane then jumped Marvel and gave him a hell
of a beat down before Sage ran in to chase the Faculty members off! The
question this raises is will Shane still be participating in the Ladder
Match for Shard's title at Capital Punishment?
The main event for the
evening was the First Blood Match! Steven Bishop, along with RON, faced
off against "The Forever Man" Guy Smith! Smith came out ready for a
fight, to get payback on the church! Of course, it wasn't a fair fight,
as Rev. Stephens was there to interfere! Cruz came to help Guy out, but
it wasn't enough, as Bishop got the winner after making Guy bleed!
So, what does this mean for
Guy? And what will happen with the Heavyweight Title situation? Don't
