A very fun night here at new
Midwest Wrestling! It was a great show full of humor, cheer, and
presents! Here are your official results for anyone who missed this
great holiday themed show!
The night started off with an NMW tradition, the Naughty or Nice
Challenge. Four boxes were placed around the ring, 3 of which were
housing NMW superstars, the fourth box housing a special surprise. The
match started with Danger Doug Fraze and Eric Logan. The two started the
match off against each other, back and forth action until Doug Fraze was
able to keep Logan down long enough to open the first box. As Doug
approached the first box, which was being video taped by Stephani King
by the way, he decided he wasn't just going to open it, he was going to
boot it! He had a pretty good idea who was in there! The box toppled
over, and out came Stan Sallinger. Logan and Danger teamed up against
Sallinger for a while, but soon he was able to get the better of the
two, and went to open a box of his own. Out came "The Spotlight" Spencer
Powers with Cherry Malone! Powers and Sallinger decided to team up
against Frazier and Logan, and it wasn't long before the two of them
decided that they should open the third gift together. They both peeled
off the paper, and out busted Billy Morgan with a roll of wrapping paper
in hand! Morgan blasted Stan and Spencer, and then teamed up with Fraze
and Logan to give the two what they deserved. Finally, they decided to
open the final box, which housed the surprise! The box was opened and
out came Rip mystic, wearing tinsel and reindeer antlers! The other four
men stared in confusion as Rip made his way into the ring. He pointed,
and suddenly "Holly Jolly Christmas" began to play over the speaker. All
5 men suddenly began singing and dancing together. The crowd loved it,
as all of them looked as though they were having a great time! Rip even
got a dance in with Cherry! As the song ended, suddenly Morgan hit
Sallinger with a super kick as Rip hit Powers with the mist
simultaneously! The two then both received 217's from Eric Logan and
Danger Doug! Then both were pinned at the same time, much to the crowd’s
approval! Mystic, Morgan, Fraze, and Logan then celebrated together to
the sound of "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree"
Jason Wells and The Eagle Scout were up next. The two were very much in
the Christmas spirit, even wrestling in Santa hats. After running into
the ref, the match came to an end as Wells beat Scout by submission.
Next up, Ron came to the ring with his followers Steven Bishop and The
Rev. Guy Smith. They began explaining the holiday of RONZAA to the fans
when none other than Rian Cruz interrupted them! Rian told Guy that she
was tired of him wasting everyone's time with this garbage and demanded
a match. She even had a special partner for the night! Suddenly the
music of Earl Grissom hit! Earl and Rian took on Guy and Bishop! It's
been a long time since Grissom has been in the ring, but he was still
able to hold his own against Smith, as Earl and Cruz were able to get
the win over Ron's men!
Jackie Sazerack came out followed by Tricky Dick Moore. Jackie once
again mentioned that Tricky was under contract to him, and he was going
to continue to make things hard on him. He announced that tonight he'd
be wrestling Sage Ramsey. Sage came out and shook hands with Tricky
before they started the match. The match was very back and forth, but
Tricky was able to pull off the win again, much to the dismay of Jackie!
LPC faced off against "The Man" Matt Boston. Boston once again thought
he had the win, but LPC was able to pull it off and continue his win
streak! After the match, the furious Boston fired his bodyguard Twist.
1/2 of the Tag Team Champs, Tank Roberts, matched up against Chris
Hazard. Tank obviously got the better of Hazard here, but suddenly
Sinnister ran down and attack Tank! It wasn't long before Tank's partner
Danger ran down to make the save and chase them off. Next month, Tank
and Danger will be putting their Tag Titles on the line against
Sinnister and Hazard!
Michael Shard, NMW's double champion, defended the heavyweight
Championship against Tom Arson. Arson challenged Shard earlier in the
night. The crowd was not happy with Shard for his action last month when
he won the title. Not to mention his actions against the crowd that
night! Arson and Shard put on a great match though, with Arson easily
handling the double champ! But just when it seemed we'd have a new
champion, Shard rolled Arson up with a handful of tights for the cheap
victory!
Phillip H. Dempsey and Toga Steve made their way down to the ring next.
PHD reminded everyone that next month he would be assuming the role of
NMW President, and announced that he will be starting his own
administration to make sure things go smoothly. He will be calling them
"The Faculty". He introduced the first member, Toga Steve. Steve took
the mike, and announced that he was no longer going by the name Toga. He
would be using his real name, Steven E. Xavier. Xavier belittled the
fans for a while before giving the mike back to PHD. PHD then said he
had two up and comers in the back who he would be offering the next
spots to, and that is Maximum Impact! Hardcore KC and the former
champion "The Marvel" Shane Matthews made their way to the ring. The two
listened to PHD's proposal, but immediately turned it down tot he crowds
delight. Suddenly, "The Wrangler" Eric Ruffington ran to the ring. He
told PHD that Maximum Impact doesn't speak for everyone, and that he
would like a chance to be in The Faculty. PHD told him to prove himself,
and a match immediately started.
It was Maximum Impact VS. Steven E. Xavier and Eric Ruffington. It
seemed as though PHD's new Faculty were holding their own quite well,
even getting the better of our former champion! But soon Matthews and KC
used that great teamwork they are known for to come back, and take out
PHD's new goons! Maximum Impact picked up the win as the night went out
with a bang! Matthews and KC even stayed behind to hand out presents to
the kids with Santa Claus himself!
It was a very entertaining show for New Midwest Wrestling! Be sure not
to miss New Year's Resolution on Saturday, Jan. 7th!
Merry Christmas to all!
